One of the biggest frustrations for patients going through the process of dental crowns or restorations is the amount of time it takes in the chair.
In some cases, it takes several visits to complete your crown. While we love seeing our patients, we also value your time.
Thanks to CEREC 3D technology (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing) technology, you can get your new dental crown in only one visit!
No more goopy impressions, repeat visits or temporary crowns. Get in, get out, & get back to your life with a new smile, in a single visit.
How Does the 3D Dental Technology Work?
CEREC technology allows us to scan your teeth with a small digital camera that creates a 3-D image of your teeth. The slim design and cutting-edge dental technology is what allows us to skip the need for messy impressions!
The 3-D image of your teeth is then uploaded to the CEREC machine, where the doctors are able to customize the tooth design digitally. The software used is similar to an advanced 3-D version of Adobe Photoshop, which can alter the shape of the tooth and color to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth.
Digital Designs Make One-Of-A-Kind Crowns
After the software analyzes the initial 3D imagining it is sent to our in-office milling machine. Our patients have the chance to see their dental crowns being milled.
The device meticulously carves your dental crown following the blueprint dictated by the doctor’s digital design. This CAD/CAM technology uses the highest performing materials and the highest standards of quality to create a natural, custom fit restoration specifically designed for you. This advanced process ensures that dental restorations feel and look, comfortable and natural. It’s almost like 3D printing new dental crowns!
The result is beautifully finished dental crowns with more precision and detail than ever before! It truly is one of the latest, ground-breaking technology in dentistry today.
